The Hoodoo Men is

  • Tim Stout: drums and lead vocals
  • Clint Healy:  bass guitar
  • Gavin Leadbetter: guitar and vocals

Tim Stout the singing drummer started his musical journey in a church band at age 9 from there to the devils music in a rock band called Destiny doing his first gig as a support for Wendy and the Rockets then his first foray into blues at 18 in King B with founding members of the Swinging Sidewalks, John Betros, Peter Cam and Justin Brady on harp. Then the vocals came in playing for Neon Leon and the Speed Kings. Tim left the drums for a time singing upfront of Grand Wazoo then playing guitar and singing for King Cactus. With a listening history deeply rooted in the blues and soul of black American music a journey back into the blues was inevitable when a mutual friend Mel Traves put Greg Dodd and Tim together to reform The Hoodoo Men.

Clint Healy is originally from Perth WA, and moved to Melbourne in the early nineties. Not long after his arrival he met Greg Dodd through an audition and has been involved in the Melbourne music scene now for over 25 years, playing in blues, originals and cover bands. Clint has played at countless Australian music festivals and has shared the stage with the who’s who of Australian blues, including an 11 year stint in the multi-award winning Andrea Marr Band. In 2014 Clint became a founding member of Greg’s new band, Greg Dodd and the Hoodoo Men, which won multiple awards including Best Band at the Australian Blues Music ‘Chain’ Awards in 2016. Following Greg’s retirement in 2018, Clint continues to fly the Hoodoo flag with Tim & Gav.
